About Overleaf Media
A quiet purpose
Some moments deserve to be remembered, even when they are difficult.
My role is to preserve those moments with care and sensitivity so they continue to hold meaning in the weeks, months and years ahead. It’s about honouring a deeply personal day as authentically as possible. Every funeral is unique and shaped by the people, the place and the occasion itself.
My aim is to notice the moments that matter most, the glance between family members, the steadying hand on a shoulder, the small details that tell a bigger story. These are the pieces that will hold meaning long after the day has passed, becoming a bridge back to a time, a place and a feeling that deserves to be remembered.
Funeral Photography
My approach
Why I do this
I began this with care. Over time, I’ve seen how much it can mean for families to have something to look back on. Not as a replacement for memory, but as a way of staying connected to the place, the people and the feeling of the day.
Funeral photography means stepping back, giving space to what is unfolding. I’ve come to understand the stillness of these moments and the value in preserving them gently, without intrusion.

How I work
I take a thoughtful, unobtrusive approach to every service. Some moments call to be captured, others are best left private. I watch for those distinctions and always follow the family’s lead. Whether I’m present for the full service or focusing on something more personal, I work with respect for the people, the place and the emotions involved.
I move quietly, work independently and stay attuned to the atmosphere around me.
About Me
I’m Andy Wade, a professional photographer with over 30 years of experience.
I hold a HND in photographic design and a first-class honours degree in photography, but my perspective is shaped far more by lived experience than by qualifications. Originally from South East London, I’ve been based in the North of England for over two decades, now living in Todmorden with my wife, two children and two dogs.
I’m a family man who enjoys spending time outdoors, often walking the dogs through the wilds of The Dales or The Lake District. I have a genuine love for exploring landscapes, appreciating quiet moments and finding beauty in the details of everyday life.
My approach is calm, attentive and unobtrusive. I work with respect for the atmosphere and people around me, observing quietly and capturing moments as they unfold. For me, photography is about the genuine moments, the connections, the stillness and the emotions that tell a meaningful story.
